They no longer take the freshly roasted coffee out to the sidewalk to cool it, as Cruz Bravo did in the 1940s, but they continue to roast it to give it the unmistakable touch of their selection. And, although they fondly keep the cod-cutting machine, they now have the best artisan canned food from the Cantabrian Sea. And the olive oil, which in the past was served in bulk in containers brought by customers, today is chosen from the best olive oil mills in Spain to arrive at your table in beautiful bottles with liquid gold of unsurpassed quality.
Today, more than 90 years later, Mantequerías Bravo carefully selects each of the gourmet products they serve to their customers, with the same attention that made them a benchmark in the capital. However, they have been able to adapt to the times without altering the concept: "the best product with the best service".
The best delicatessen products, including oils, caviar, black truffle and a wine cellar with more than 4,000 labels, consolidate the transition from grocery to gourmet store and have turned Mantequerías Bravo into a reference in Madrid.
Elena Bravo belongs to the third generation of the family. In charge of the business, she has managed to modernize the concept, including an online store, without betraying her original philosophy: "We have always filled our shelves with the best quality on the market, so our trend towards a gourmet store has been natural. We have fought the toughest economic times in our country with effort and adaptation, but we have never seen the future of the store endangered".




Distillates and liquors, gift baskets, national and international wines, appetizers, preserves, condiments and the best charcuterie is offered from the direct treatment and personalized advice. They have never lost the essence of a traditional butter shop, but offering the premium variety required by today's demanding customers.
